What is it? St. Mary’s has a wonderful program that helps raise money for the school & Religious Ed. Program!

How do I participate? It's easy! Simply purchase certificates for grocery stores, restaurants, retailers, postage stamps, the list is endless, and in turn, St. Mary's earns a percentage from each retailer for the purchase.

The money earned from this program has made significant improvements to the school and has helped fund the Religious Ed. Program. School families, also, were able to earn money off their tuition through the program.

A list of current retailers and the percentages St. Mary's receives, is always available in the school office. IT IS!!!

Certificates are available for sale in the school office during office hours (7:45 AM – 2:30 PM when school is in session and 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM in June and August when school is not in session) and in the school office before and after masses on Saturdays and Sundays as follows:

  • Saturday 4:30pm Mass before and after

  • Sunday 7:30 am Mass after only

  • Sunday 9:30 am Mass before and after

  • Sunday 11:30 am Mass before only

While the school office is closed during the month of July, you can purchase certificates at the rectory.

2. What exactly can I use these store certificates for?

Packets will soon be mailed out explaining the program in detail, so those new to the program can have a clear and better understanding of how it works. We all buy food, clothes, dine-out, etc., so why not buy the certificates here, first, before heading out to those stores and restaurants?

An example of how the tuition credit is calculated based on your purchases follows:

If you purchase certificates for many of your shopping needs (e.g. groceries, dinners out, clothing purchases, electronics, etc.), you will be able to save significantly on your child’s tuition.

Here is how the accounting of the program works:

1. Everyone participating has a tuition reimbursement number. It is made up of your the first initial of your last name and the last five digits of your telephone number. For example, the Jones Family has a telephone number of 123-4567. Their tuition ID would be J34567.

2. Each time you purchase certificates, your purchases are entered into a fundraising software package and earnings are calculated based on the retailer discount. You earnings will accumulate from May 1 through April 30 and will be applied toward your tuition.

3. You can also have family, friends, neighbors and co-workers, etc. purchase certificates under your name and tuition reimbursement number. The number must be given at the time of purchase. Their purchases will then be credited toward your tuition reimbursement account.
