 Monthly Meeting Summary-September 2006

  1. Approval of the meeting minutes from the Board Planning Meeting dated August 29, 2006.
  2. President’s Report-Sandi Seidl
    1. Vote and approval of the changes to the FSO constitution.
    2. Vote and approval of the FSO budget for the 2006-2007 school year.
    3. Open chair positions include co chair science fair, co chair walk-a-thon and legislative representative-interested parties should contact Sandi.
    4. Mentor Program for new school families will start next in the spring prior to the school year.
  3. Vice President’s Report-Michelle Yoder-Parish Picnic is scheduled for September 24th, 2006 with the FSO assisting with crafts and games.
  4. Treasurer’s Report-Lisa Vanco
    1. Monthly budget was reviewed and questions were answered.
    2. Treasurer will provide a report that has dollar amounts earned by each committee/fundraiser.
  5. Committee Reports
    1. Sally Foster fundraiser-delivery and pick up are scheduled for October 11, 2006.
    2. Special Food Days-order forms are currently being collected.
    3. Book Fair-scheduled for 10/18 and 10/19.
    4. Gym Uniforms-will need to reorder new uniforms in 3-4 months.  Committee is currently checking pricing with other vendors.
    5. General Mills-committee will meet on 9/25/06 to cut and package proof of purchase to be submitted to General Mills.
    6. Campbell’s Soup-must submit UPC code-reminders will be in the FSO Newsletter and the church bulletin.
    7. Hospitality-committee is assisting with the Parish Picnic and will provide cookies for the story night at the book fair.
    8. Membership-Committee sent copy of acknowledgment page for the directory for review by the FSO executive committee and is meeting with the printer to finalize directory.
    9. Newsletter-deadline for FSO newsletter is 9/20/06-please submit items for newsletter to Juanita Gomez.
    10. Roller Skating Party-scheduled for 10/15/06 for grades 1-4.
    11. Year Book-Mr. Campione is meeting with section B yearbook to consider combining section A and section B yearbook.
    12. Science Fair-committee is working with school to revise judging procedures.  Committee requested funds to cover cost of awards for the Science Fair.
  6. Old Business-
    1. Oil clothes-FSO will continue to research other possible items that could be used rather than oil clothes for the 1st graders
    2. Playground Painting will be coordinated with St. Catherine Mary Guild.
  7. New Business
    1. Michelle Yoder will work with Mrs. Campabasso to update the website.
    2. Fundraising ideas-committee members discussed ideas including a movie night and restaurant certificates.  Notice will be placed in the FSO Newsletter requesting suggestions for fundraising ideas.
