Kindergarten Teachers
KINDERGARTEN INFORMATION
Uniform: Kindergarten children are required to be in uniform. They must wear a uniform red polo shirt that is purchased through St. Mary’s and navy shorts which can be purchased at Dennis Uniform or navy blue sweat pants. An optional sweatshirt can be ordered through the school. Gym shoes are permitted.
Extra Clothes: An extra set of underwear and socks is required for emergency purposes. Please send clothes in a zip lock bag with child’s name clearly printed on the bag. The clothes will be kept in the classroom.
Full Day Program: Children are to be dropped off at the main door. Please make sure you park by the new church if you plan to walk your child to the door.
Afternoon Session: Parents are requested to drop off the children at the main door between 11:15 and 11:20 A.M. Students arriving after 11:20 are considered tardy. (Cars must use the Buffalo Grove Road entrance and exit onto Church Road). Children will be dismissed at the main door.
Report Absence: If your child will be absent from school, a call must be made to the school office in the morning.
Vacation: Please notify the teacher prior to vacation. Work missed will be given to your child upon his/her return to school.
Report Cards: Report Cards are given in November, February and June.
Conferences: Parent/Teacher conferences are held in November and February. If a parent wishes to meet with the teacher at any other time, please contact the teacher for an appointment.
Medical Records: Each incoming student is required to have a completed medical exam on file prior to the first day of school. These are to be mailed to the school during the summer.
Birthday Celebrations: Your child may bring a special treat for the class on his/her birthday. Summer birthdays are celebrated in May or at half birthday.
Munch Time: Each child may bring a nutritious snack daily. Milk may be ordered, PM session only. All other students may bring juice. No soda is permitted. All day students will have the opportunity to buy milk with lunch. It is provided as part of the hot lunch program.
Lunch: All Day classrooms will need two lunch helpers everyday from 10:45 to 11:10. Sign up will be available.

KINDERGARTEN MILK PROGRAM
Milk will be available to the children at the PM sessions. 1% white milk will be served. On Friday, chocolate milk is available. All milk is ordered through the Archdiocesan School Lunch Program. If your child prefers, he/she may bring juice daily.
The orders for milk will be taken by semester. Because this will be a blanket fee, there will be no refunds if your child is absent. Once the milk count is given, orders cannot be canceled for any individual.
